How the evening works

The fire is lit at four. By seven it has burned down to embers, and dinner begins.

Close to the fire

We keep the room dark and let the hearth do the lighting. This is what you see from your chair: embers, clay, glass, linen.

Before you come

The questions we hear most. Anything else, ask when you book.

Is there a dress code?

No. Come as you are. The room is warm and kept dim, so a light layer is enough.

Can we bring children?

Children are welcome from eight years old. They eat the full six courses with the table; we can make the portions smaller.

Is the restaurant accessible?

Yes. The entrance is step-free from the street, there is an accessible toilet, and every table has room for a wheelchair. Tell us when you book and we will seat you away from the heat of the hearth if you prefer.

Can you cook for dietary needs?

Every course has a vegetarian version. We can also cook without gluten, dairy or nuts. Tell us when you book, at least a day ahead, so the kitchen can plan the fire for it.

What if we need to cancel?

Cancel free of charge until 24 hours before your table. After that we charge €40 per guest, because we buy for every seat. Sample terms.
